Stephen Smith

Stephen Smith is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kitman Labs, a sports technology company he founded in 2012.2 He has been serving as the CEO of Kitman Labs since April 2015, based in Menlo Park, California.2 Smith is also a Techstars Sports Accelerator Mentor at Techstars, a role he has held since September 2019.2

Before founding Kitman Labs, Smith worked as an Injury Rehabilitation Coach for Leinster Rugby in Dublin, Ireland, from March 2008 to August 2014.2 His background in sports and exercise rehabilitation, combined with his experience in injury prevention and rehabilitation, likely contributed to the founding of Kitman Labs, which aims to help elite sports teams reduce injury risk and increase player availability.1

Smith holds a BSc in Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation from the Institute of Technology, Carlow, and a Master of Science in Football Rehabilitation from Edgehill University.2 He has also received several awards for his entrepreneurial efforts, including being a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2016.2
