Stephen Fisher is a distinguished European public policy professional with a wealth of international experience in various sectors including government, government agencies, trade associations, and the private sector.
He holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Social Anthropology & Spanish, achieving First Class Honors from the University of St Andrews, and an MSc in Finance & Financial Law with Merit from the University of London.
Stephen Fisher currently serves as the Co-Head of the Global Public Policy Group for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region at BlackRock. His past roles include being a Board Member and the Co-Chair of the Regulatory Policy Committee at the International Capital Market Association (ICMA). Additionally, he has held positions as the Managing Director of the Global Public Policy Group at BlackRock, the Director of European & International Affairs at the Dutch Banking Association, a Financial Markets Adviser at the European Banking Federation, a Policy Officer at HM Treasury, and an Associate at the Financial Services Authority.
