Stephanie Barenz

Stephanie Barenz is a renowned mixed-media artist who specializes in creating works of art centered around storytelling, place, and sojourning. With an MFA in Visual Arts from Washington University in St. Louis and a BA in Art from Bethany Lutheran College, Barenz has solidified her position as a leading professional artist in the United States. Her professional accolades include being chosen as Professional Dimension's 2015 SACI Artist, part of Wisconsin's largest women's networking organization, and completing residencies in New York, Chicago, and Milwaukee, among others. Her work has been acquired by notable public collectors, such as Northwestern Mutual and Alverno College, and private collectors across the United States and Europe. Barenz's paintings have been exhibited in various acclaimed institutions, including the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Museum of Wisconsin Art, and the John Michael Kohler Art Center. Currently, she resides in Shanghai, China, where she continues to create inspiring works of art that explore the universal human experience of journeying and belonging.
