Spiros Denaxas

Spiros Denaxas is a top-notch health data research scientist with expertise in utilizing electronic health records, genetic information, biomedical data, and artificial intelligence to advance healthcare and human health. He has a wealth of experience having studied MSc in Information Systems Engineering and BSc in Computer Science from The University of Manchester and Bradford respectively. Spiros Denaxas has also studied epidemiology and medical statistics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London.

Professionally, he holds the position of a Professor of Biomedical Informatics at UCL, where he was formerly the Deputy Institute Director (Research). He has also been a Research Fellow at The Alan Turing Institute and a Health Informatics Consultant at BenevolentAI. Besides, Spiros Denaxas has lectured as an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer, tenured) in Biomedical Informatics at UCL, where he was initially a UCL Research Fellow in Health Informatics and Electronic Health Records before becoming a Senior Research Associate in Electronic Health Records.
