Sorcha Wood is an enthusiastic and determined MSc (Res) student, specializing in Ecology and aspiring to work for a conservation NGO. With a problem-solving attitude and a passion for how organisms interact with their environments, Sorcha possesses excellent fieldwork techniques, strong communication skills, and a keen interest in building a career as an ecologist. Having completed a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and currently pursuing a Master of Science by Research in Ecology at the University of St Andrews, Sorcha is well-equipped for a career in the scientific field and is eager to launch her professional journey post-graduation. Previously, Sorcha has held various roles, including being a Tutor at MyTutor.co.uk, a Classification Volunteer at Zooniverse, a Trading Assistant at Sainsbury's, an Education Volunteer at The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, a Research Assistant at the University of St Andrews, and serving in leadership positions at the University of St Andrews' Catholic Society. Sorcha also has experience as an Optical Assistant at Specsavers, an Assistant Football Coach at Svenska Fotbollsakademin, and a Platinum Sports Ambassador at Active Schools Fife.
