    Sonia Leung is a seasoned operations and event planner with a strong passion for organizing large-scale events for various organizations, including the Toronto 2015 PanAm/Parapan Am Games, University of Toronto, and the Toronto International Film Festival.

    Her educational background includes a BA in International Development Studies Co-op from the University of Toronto, a Certificate in Data Analytics, Big Data, and Predictive Analytics from Ryerson University, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Event Management from Humber College.

    Sonia has held key positions in multiple renowned organizations such as Community Success Manager at Heygo, Program Associate at Entrepreneur First, and Events Manager/Data Officer at Creative Destruction Lab.

    She has also contributed her expertise as an Artist Services Lead/Admin Coordinator at Harbourfront Centre, Events Coordinator at The Learning Partnership, Assistant at Toronto International Film Festival, and Events Assistant at Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta among many other roles.

    During her tenure at the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games Organizing Committee, Sonia served in various capacities including Coordinator, Protocol Volunteer Deployment, Associate, Community Outreach and Protocol, Operations Coordinator, Executive Assistant, and Activator.

    Sonia has also worked as an Intern in community outreach at the Pan Am Games, a Wedding Planner Assistant at Beyoutiful Beginnings, a Local Outreach Coordinator at Powershift Conference, a Get Started Coach at University of Toronto, and a Residence Programmer at University of Toronto.

    Additionally, she has served as a Workshop Facilitator and Events Organizer at the Center of Peace Studies (CEPPA in Spanish), showcasing her versatility and expertise in managing a wide array of responsibilities in the event planning and operations domain.
