Sonam P. Ringpa

Sonam P. Ringpa is a dedicated Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) practitioner with a deep-rooted commitment to fostering inclusive, equitable environments.

She brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal experiences as a racialized woman to her work, striving to ensure that everyone has a voice and a place at the table.

Currently, Sonam leads the implementation of the EDI and Reconciliation roadmap at University Pension Plan Ontario (UPP), where her efforts were recently recognized with the prestigious 'Corporate Citizen Award' at the UPPie Awards.

As an inclusive leader, Sonam prioritizes people and purpose, advocating for collaborative and transparent work cultures that make a positive impact on the communities she serves.

Her work philosophy is characterized by a hands-on approach and gratitude-centered mindset, emphasizing the importance of personal connections and meaningful gestures.

With a background in International Studies/Canadian Studies and specialized training in Leadership and Inclusion, Sonam combines academic knowledge with practical skills to drive meaningful change in organizations and communities.

Sonam has held key roles in various organizations, including Associate Director of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, & Reconciliation at UPP, Inclusion & Employee Experience Manager, Office Operations Manager, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager at Wealthsimple, among others.

Her diverse professional experience, spanning from office administration to campaign coordination, has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of organizational dynamics and the importance of fostering diversity and inclusion.

Sonam is passionate about creating stronger, more inclusive communities and is always eager to connect with like-minded individuals who share a vision for driving positive change.
