Sofia Fenichell

Sofia Fenichell is a seasoned entrepreneur and edtech enthusiast with a passion for transforming education using science and technology. She is the founder and CEO of a stealth startup, where she is committed to exploring new ways of helping students learn. Prior to this, Sofia served as the Chief Creative Officer and Founder of Mrs Wordsmith, an award-winning literacy company that designs games, apps, and books for K-8 students using the science of reading. During her tenure at Mrs Wordsmith, Sofia collaborated with educators and academics worldwide and developed over 20 products that sold over 500,000 copies in the US and the UK.

Sofia is a graduate of Columbia Business School, The Hotchkiss School, and Northwestern University, where she studied MBA in Business, B.A. in History, and other related fields. Besides, Sofia held various positions in different organizations, including Common Sense Media, Wonder PL, State, Self Employed Freelance Work, Beetle Capital, Caxton Associates, UBS Investment Bank, Merrill Lynch, and DDB Needham Worldwide. In these positions, Sofia demonstrated her expertise in various fields, including technology venture capital consulting, corporate development, hedge fund analysis, media/internet analysis, global brand projects management, etc.
