Sivan Breemhaar

Sivan Breemhaar, a creative activist and social entrepreneur, is deeply committed to social justice and international equality. Originally from Israel and raised in the Netherlands, Sivan developed a keen interest in international politics and conflict resolution.

Her academic journey includes a Master of Arts in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University, where she conducted research in Rwanda. This experience exposed her to the stark reality of the disparity between the proclaimed equal treatment of individuals and the actual behavior towards one another.

Motivated by the realization that perceiving others as inferior is often the root cause of conflicts, Sivan made it her life's mission to foster a world where every individual is valued and treated equally. To translate this vision into action, she founded the fashion brand Afriek, showcasing the beauty and craftsmanship of Rwanda while promoting a business ethos grounded in mutual respect and understanding.

Through Afriek's success story, Sivan aims to inspire individuals, organizations, and corporations to embrace collaboration based on equality, empathy, and active listening for sustainable and prosperous partnerships.
