    Simon Kim is a successful Korean-American restaurateur and the owner of COTE Korean Steakhouse, with locations in New York, Miami, and Singapore.2 Born in Seoul, South Korea, Kim moved to Long Island, New York with his family at the age of 13 in 1995.2

    Kim's career in hospitality began at his parents' Korean restaurant, Kori, in Tribeca.2 After working in various roles at high-end restaurants and hotels, including MGM Grand Las Vegas and establishments by Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Thomas Keller, Kim opened his first restaurant, Piora, in 2013.2

    Under Kim's leadership, COTE has become highly successful, with annual gross revenue between $35 million and $40 million for its New York and Miami locations combined.3 Kim has been recognized for his achievements, including being named one of Crain's New York's "40 Under 40" business leaders in 2019.2

    Kim is married to Karen Yun, whom he met through mutual friends, and they have two children, Dani and Eunu.3 He continues to expand his restaurant empire and share Korean culture through his culinary ventures.
