Sierra Davis Thomander is a fifth-year Political Science Ph.D. candidate at Stanford University.2 She began her doctoral studies in Fall 2020 and completed her Master's of Arts degree in March 2022.3 Her research focuses on gender and politics, particularly the political pipeline for women candidates and institutional factors underlying women's underrepresentation.2

Sierra is married to Zachary and has two daughters, Matisse (8) and Violet (4). Originally from Burley, Idaho, she enjoys ballet, triathlon training, nature, embroidery, family Halloween costumes, and reading Wikipedia in her spare time.2
