Sibusisiwe Yona

Sibusisiwe Yona is the Program Director for Southern Africa at Smile Train, a position she has held since November 2017.3 She is based in Zimbabwe and has a background in community mobilization, project management, report writing, training, and volunteer coordination/management.2 Yona holds a Master's degree in Cooperation and Development from the University of Pavia.3

In her role at Smile Train, Yona works to improve the health of children affected by cleft lip and palate.4 Her dedication to this cause is evident in the fact that six babies have been named after her, likely due to her impactful work in cleft care.1
