Shnita Mitchell

Shnita Mitchell is a seasoned higher education professional with over 15 years of experience in Housing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, as well as a Master of Science in Corporate Communication from the same institution. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership at Abilene Christian University. Mitchell has held various leadership positions throughout her career, including as Director of Residence Life at Lyon College and former Director of Campus Life & Chief Housing Officer at Paul Quinn College. Mitchell's top five talents include Restorative, Significance, Harmony, Relator, and Individualization. She is passionate about student holistic growth and development, and has a vast understanding of collegiate environments and their impact on learning. Mitchell has extensive experience with diversity training, team and leadership development, managing budgets, and advising multiple student organizations. She is a skillful communicator, meticulous in detail, an excellent supervisor, and a diligent learner. With her passion for the education industry and vast skillset, Mitchell is an asset to any team she joins.
