Shirley Knowles

Shirley Knowles is a highly educated individual with a diverse academic background. She holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Communications Management with a focus on Gender & Cultural Studies from Simmons College - Simmons School of Management, and a Master of Leadership Studies (MLD) with a certificate in Multicultural Studies and an impressive 3.9 GPA from North Central College. She also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a major in Journalism and a minor in Political Science from Marquette University.

Throughout her career, Shirley Knowles has held significant roles in various organizations. She currently serves as the Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer at Progress. Previously, she was the Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Manager of External Communications and Community Investment, and Senior Corporate Communications Specialist at Homesite Insurance. Shirley has also worked as an Adjunct Instructor in Public Speaking and Cultural Diversity at Le Cordon Bleu and Eastern Nazarene College. Her experience includes roles such as Corporate Communications Specialist at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Director of Public Relations at Spectacle Publishing Media Group LLC, and Media Relations at the Boston Celtics. Earlier in her career, Shirley worked as an Upward Bound Educational Specialist at Waubonsee Community College and a Multicultural Student Assistant at Marquette University.
