From serving as a PMO for a prominent tech company in Silicon Valley to pivotal roles in management consultancy, Shi-Ying's varied experiences have honed her skills and expertise.

Noteworthy achievements include transforming GrabCar's business in Malaysia from its infant stage to one of the fastest-growing verticals in the region within 2 years.

Recently, she has been deeply involved in mentoring, investing in, and collaborating with early-stage startups primarily in Malaysia, Singapore, and the US, specializing in AI, SaaS, Healthtech, Cleantech, Marketplaces, IoT, Fintech, and Edtech sectors.

Shi-Ying's distinctive career path has equipped her with valuable insights and hands-on experience that are pivotal for guiding and investing in startups, coupled with a talent for fostering collaboration among diverse teams and business facets.

She holds educational credentials from prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School Executive Education, Oklahoma City University (MBA), and University of Oklahoma (BBA).

Currently, Shi-Ying Lau serves as a Partner, Investor, and Mentor at NEXEA, a prominent venture capital firm, angel investor network, and accelerator program.

Throughout her career, Shi-Ying has held key positions in various organizations, including Grab as Head of GrabCar, alongside roles at Slurp!, Pcubed, M2A, Renoir Consulting, Sime Darby, Google (contracted by Astreya Partners), among others.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Shi-Ying has a courageous spirit, having embraced challenges like skydiving to conquer her fear of heights.
