Allan Boruchowicz is the Founder and Managing Partner at Carao Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Costa Rica. He has over 15 years of experience managing private capital investments and has worked with startups in different stages for the last 10 years in Latin America and the United States.12

Allan founded Carao Ventures in 2012 with the goal of providing entrepreneurs in Latin America with the same resources and opportunities that entrepreneurs in more developed markets have to create and advance their startups.12 He serves on the board of directors of several Carao Ventures portfolio companies, including Fibrazo.34

Prior to founding Carao Ventures, Allan worked for over 5 years at Mesoamerica Investments, a management consulting and private equity firm in Latin America, and for a year at UBS Wealth Management US.12 He is a Kauffman Fellow and holds a B.Sc. degree in Business Management with a concentration in Finance and Economics from Babson College.12

Allan currently serves on the board of directors of Banco BCT, BCT Puesto de Bolsa, and BCT SAFI. He was also a founding member and director of the Central American & the Caribbean Fintech Association and CRBiomed, the Costa Rican cluster of biotechnology and life sciences companies.2
