Sheryl Balthrop is the passionate Executive Director of the Eugene Mission, dedicated to serving vulnerable and impoverished individuals. With a strong belief in the power of relationships, hope, and community support, she strives to break the cycle of suffering.
Prior to her role at the Eugene Mission, Sheryl Balthrop served as the managing shareholder of a business law firm, bringing over 27 years of law practice experience and a deep understanding of non-profits, mediation, management, and community engagement.
Her educational background includes studies in Mediation Training at Clackamas County Resolution Services, Domestic Relations Mediation Training at Oregon Family Institute, a B.A. from the Robert D. Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon, and a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law.
Sheryl Balthrop's leadership at the Eugene Mission involves innovative programs like the R3 initiative and the 18-month Life Change addiction recovery program, designed to provide a lasting pathway for individuals to transition off the streets and reintegrate into healthy communities.
