Shelly Shetley is a dedicated advocate with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kansas, graduating in May 2009. Her areas of expertise include disability issues, public policy, grassroots advocacy, Olmstead, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Shelly's primary objective is to champion the rights of individuals with disabilities on local, state, and federal levels. She excels in testifying in front of legislators, grassroots advocacy, and crafting impactful letters to politicians and editors.
In terms of education, Shelly studied Social Work for her Master's degree at the University of Kansas, building upon a foundation in Human Services achieved during her Bachelor's studies at Park University.
Shelly Shetley has been actively involved in various organizations where she has made significant contributions. She was a Member at the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce, a Community Advisory Board member at KCPT, and part of the Mayor's Committee for People with Disabilities. Shelly's leadership roles include serving as the Executive Director, Founder, and CEO of AngelPaws, Inc., as well as chairing the Missouri Planning Council for Developmental Disabilities. Additionally, she has interned at organizations such as UMKC - IHD and The Whole Person, showcasing her commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
