Shefali Talwar is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background in genetics, microbiology, and cellular biophysics. She completed her Ph.D. in Cellular Biophysics from the National Centre for Biological Sciences, Tata Institute for Fundamental Research, where she gained expertise in the molecular mechanisms underlying membrane protein function. Additionally, she pursued a Ph.D. in Cellular Biophysics from the National University of Singapore, where she gained expertise in the field of molecular biophysics.

She worked as a Life Sciences Consultant at Putnam Associates and as a Fellow at InSITE, where she developed business strategies to help start-up companies. Before this, she was a Mack Technology Fellow at The Wharton School and an Entrepreneur Lead at Penn Center for Innovation, where she led educational and outreach programs to promote innovation in the life sciences industry.

Before her consulting roles, Shefali worked at PBG Healthcare Consulting as a Team member, where she developed proposals, conducted market research, and analyzed client data. She was also an NSF Postdoctoral Scientist at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where she studied the mechanisms underlying protein folding, stability, and interactions.

Shefali has also worked as a Business Development Manager at Global Institute of Stem Cell Therapy & Research (GIOSTAR), where she gained experience in medical research and development, and as a Global Entrepreneur at E-commerce, a start-up that focused on e-commerce portal development.

Shefali has published several research papers in various international scientific journals and has presented her work at numerous scientific conferences. Her skills and expertise span across basic research, biotechnology, medical devices, genomics, entrepreneurship, and business consulting.
