Sharon Leite

Sharon Leite is a seasoned executive known for her leadership in the retail and health sectors. She recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of The Vitamin Shoppe from August 2018 until January 2023. During her tenure, she spearheaded significant initiatives to revitalize the brand, including launching a technology-driven retail format, expanding distribution channels, and enhancing the company's private brand offerings. Leite also played a pivotal role in introducing innovative merchandising programs and expanding the business into international markets, including Asia.14

Before her role at The Vitamin Shoppe, Leite held prominent positions at several well-known companies. She was the President of North America for Godiva Chocolatier and previously served as the President of Sally Beauty in the U.S. and Canada. Her extensive career also includes leadership roles at Pier 1 Imports, Bath & Body Works, Gap Inc., and The Walt Disney Company.124

Leite is recognized for her strategic vision and has been involved in various boards and advisory roles, such as with the National Retail Federation and Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business. She has also been acknowledged in the industry, receiving awards like "Top Women in Retail" and "Great Woman of Texas" for her contributions to the field.34

Following her departure from The Vitamin Shoppe, Leite was appointed as the CEO of Ideal Image, a company specializing in aesthetic treatments.24
