    Sharlene Smith, APR, FCPRS, LM, is a highly respected professional with a strong background in communication management.

    In 1997, she founded CommPlan Canada, a communication management consulting firm, where she excels in strategic planning, training & coaching, facilitation, and project management.

    Sharlene is known for her combination of strategic vision and hands-on approach to accomplishing tasks effectively.

    Aside from her consulting work, she played a pivotal role as a founding member in the public relations programs at the University of Victoria and Royal Roads University, guiding numerous PR and communication practitioners in Canada.

    Her impressive governance experience includes leadership roles in various national, provincial, and local organizations.

    Currently, she serves as the chair of the Board of Lymphoma Canada, is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and holds a life membership in the Canadian Public Relations Society.

    Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Sharlene was inducted into the CPRS College of Fellows in 2003 and received the prestigious Lamp of Service award from the Society, a highly esteemed accolade in the field of public relations.

    Sharlene pursued her education in Public Relations & Business Administration at the University of Regina.

    Throughout her career, she has held key positions including Owner/Operator at CommPlan Canada, Associate Faculty at Royal Roads University, Sessional Instructor at the University of Victoria, Communications Director at the Province of BC, Communications Manager at BC Systems Corporation, and Director of Public Affairs at the City of Regina.
