Shana Sumers

Shana Sumers is a black, queer womxn known for her role as the Senior Community Manager at NEXT Music. With a background in Special Education and Music Therapy, Shana brings a diverse set of skills to her professional endeavors.

Apart from her work with NEXT Music, Shana is the co-host of the popular podcast 'Bad Queers'. She is also a seasoned speaker, having graced numerous panels, podcasts, events, and stages as both a panelist and a keynote speaker.

In her leisure time, Shana enjoys sports, exploring new dining experiences, and attending music concerts, particularly by artists like Beyoncé. While adapting to the current social restrictions, she remains engaged with virtual events and stays connected through digital platforms.

Shana's educational journey includes a Master's Degree in Special Education from UNSW Australia and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from Shenandoah University. She has accrued a wealth of experience from various roles in organizations, ranging from music therapy to community management.
