Shakthi Visagan

Shakthi Visagan is a Staff Research Associate at the UCLA Brain Mapping Center, affiliated with the Shattuck Lab Group. His interests lie in Neurology, Statistical Signal Processing, and Computational Differential Geometry. He is enthusiastic about applying complex mathematical tools to gain insights from intricate data sets. Shakthi aims to leverage his interdisciplinary expertise to enhance his understanding of the natural world, with a focus on the convergence of medicine, technology, human biology, and cognitive processes with modern computation. Proficient in Python, MATLAB, and Rust, he develops numerical and scientific programs to tackle diverse challenges spanning statistical analysis, machine learning, and computational modeling. Currently, Shakthi is exploring computational methodologies involving group theory and Lie algebras to analyze symmetries in deep learning models and computational anatomy.
