Shabbir Safdar is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Executive Director for the Partnership for Safe Medicines (PSM). In this role, Shabbir leads a policy coalition dedicated to researching and educating patients, law enforcement, and policymakers about the criminal drug counterfeiting trade in the United States. Despite the challenging nature of his work, Shabbir effectively manages a diverse coalition within the pharmaceutical supply chain to unite in the fight against counterfeits.
With a keen interest in building coalitions around public policy topics, Shabbir Safdar is motivated by new challenges that allow him to make a tangible impact on important issues. His professional expertise spans across various domains including coalitions, public policy, strategy, metrics, web analytics, digital public affairs, digital public relations, and cause marketing.
Shabbir Safdar obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Purdue University after completing his earlier education at St. Louis Country Day. His impressive professional journey includes leadership roles such as President at Cause Stories, Director of National Outreach at The Partnership for Safe Medicines, Chairman/President of the Board at Virilion, and Founder positions at multiple organizations.
Prior to his current role, Shabbir Safdar has held diverse positions ranging from Columnist at PR News and Media Industry Newsletter to VP of Internet Security at Goldman Sachs & Co. His background includes experiences as a student programmer at Purdue University Computer Center, as well as various founding roles showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit.
