Semyon Dukach

Semyon Dukach is a prominent venture capitalist and entrepreneur, currently serving as a member of the Advisory Board at Horasis, an international think tank. He is the founding partner of One Way Ventures, a venture fund established in 2017 that focuses on supporting exceptional immigrant founders during the pre-seed and seed stages of their startups. Dukach's motivation for founding this venture capital fund stems from his belief that the determination often displayed by immigrants can lead to significant entrepreneurial success.123

Dukach immigrated to the United States from the Soviet Union as a child. He pursued his education in computer science at Columbia University and later earned a master's degree from MIT. His career includes co-founding several technology companies, such as Vert and Fast Engines, and leading the Boston chapter of Techstars before launching One Way Ventures. Under his leadership, the fund aims to democratize access to funding for immigrant entrepreneurs, who, despite comprising only 13% of the U.S. population, have founded 55% of billion-dollar startups in the country.13

His recent appointment to the Horasis Advisory Board is expected to enhance the organization's expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship.24
