One of my chief priorities as city manager is to restore a sense of pride in the community by making Talladega a better place to live, work and visit. Under my leadership, the city has initiated major capital improvement projects, reduced crime, implemented extensive cleaning and beautification programs, increased support for events that enrich the community and attract tourism dollars, expanded appropriations for organizations that help improve the quality of life in Talladega, and adopted ordinances and resolutions that promote economic growth.  Out team spearheaded the revival of the Talladega-Texaco Walk of Fame in Davey Allison Memorial Park and has been widely recognized for strengthening relationships between the business community and the city. Partnerships with community leaders and working closely with Talladega City Council, city staff, and volunteers, Mr. Hill is helping to revitalize Talladega. The city was accepted into the highly competitive Main Street Alabama program. It was commended by Governor Kay Ivey for being named a Main Street Alabama Designated Community in June 2022.

The city has developed a master plan for downtown and park redevelopment, and received a $280,000 Safe Streets and Roads for All Grant. Additionally, construction of a downtown pocket park begins shortly. The city recently utilized a Community Development Block Grant to demolish 15 abandoned, dilapidated buildings in Talladega’s Knoxville community, and will begin demolishing 16 additional buildings in February 2023.

In 2021, under Mr. Hill’s leadership, the City of Talladega held a police chief candidate forum and selected a new chief.  Mr. Hill has worked closely with Chief Diane Thomas and the Talladega City Council to increase safety in the community. Murder rates dropped from eight in 2021 to five in 2022. Burglaries dropped from 121 in 2021 to 63 in 2022. Robberies dropped from ten in 2021 to three in 2022. Rapes dropped from eight in 2021 to four in 2022.

Provide leadership and direction through the planning, organization, coordination, and implementation of the College’s Development Programs. These activities include fund raising, resource development, estate planning, annual giving, alumni relations and corporate/foundations relations programs. I'm also  responsible for management and completion of Capital Campaign, Annual Fund Drive, and the Annual President’s Report.  I lead the advancement team in carrying out the goals and funding priorities as determined by the College’s mission and vision outlined in the Strategic Plan.

As the National Director of Alumni Engagement & External Affairs I serves as a key member of the leadership team and actively participates in crafting the strategic direction for Alumni Engagement & External Affairs for the organization. I'm responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to strengthen the relationship with INROADS 27,000+ alumni. I work with leadership to plan and implement alumni programs, support alumni chapter development and design and implement new alumni services. I'm also responsible for alumni publications, database management, and other duties as appropriate. In addition, I collaborate with the INROADS Alumni Association (IAA) to engage Alumni and implement special events targeting the Alumni community, develop and execute annual development plans and strategies to support the organization’s fundraising campaign through the Alumni’s Philanthropic Strategy. Additional responsibilities include oversight of External Affairs, cultivating relationships with Alumni who represent corporate and foundation sponsors as well as other organizations aligned with INROADS mission and vision.

I direct the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive internal and external resource development plan for Georgia Piedmont Technical College.

Director of Institutional Advancement

•	Work with the Vice President, Director of Development/Public Relations and Development Writer in designing and implementing a multi-year planning cycle for maximizing the annual relations value and fund raising impact of reunion and annual programming. Responsible for coordinating, supporting and monitoring alumni office collaboration with institutional advancement staff in the execution of the reunion and annual giving programs.
•	Work with the President and the executive committee of the National Alumni association in planning the activities and the association, identifying and developing leadership, and assisting in determining the content and design of its meeting.
•	Prepare the alumni relations yearly operating plan and monitor the effective application of funds budgeted to support it. 
•	Work with institutional advancement staff and the National Alumni Association to plan Homecoming and reunion activities.
•	Assist the Admissions Office in supporting alumni recruitment of students during regional meetings throughout the United States
•	Plan and conduct major alumni events including Homecoming, Commencement, Alumni Banquet, etc.

•	Assist editor in starting back the University’s alumni publication, The Shaw Gazette
•	Updated brochures, area policy and procedures manual, and annual operating plan as needed
•	Serve as liaison between the alumni and the University community; respond to requests and inquiries of alumni and friends of the University.
•	Visit selected alumni and alumni chapters throughout the country for cultivation purposes.
•	Plan and implement the planned giving program to ensure integration of gift planning into all facets of fundraising.
•	Revamped database – removed duplicates, coded deceased, expanded support base and re-categorized giving relations
•	Identified planned gift prospects, cultivating more prospects, setting solicitation strategies, training alumni, staff and volunteers.
