    Sebastian Martorana is a talented sculptor and illustrator based in Baltimore, MD, known for his intricate stone carvings and personal sculptures.

    He completed his BFA in Illustration at Syracuse University, where he also explored sculpture and art in Italy as part of his academic journey.

    Post-graduation, Sebastian delved into the world of sculpting by apprenticing at a stone shop near Washington, DC, and later pursued his MFA at the prestigious Maryland Institute College of Art's Rinehart School of Sculpture.

    After his graduate studies, he established Atlantic Custom Carving, LLC, and currently operates from his studio at the Hilgartner Natural Stone Company in Baltimore, where he undertakes stone carving commissions and restoration projects alongside his personal artistic endeavors.

    Sebastian's exceptional sculptural pieces have garnered recognition, with his work 'Impressions' being added to the permanent collection of the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, as part of the '40 Under 40: Craft Futures' exhibition.

    In addition to his artistic pursuits, Sebastian also shares his knowledge and passion as an adjunct professor in the Illustration Department at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
