Scott Tinley

Scott Tinley is a distinguished former professional triathlete, writer, and lecturer at San Diego State University (SDSU) and California State University San Marcos (CSUSM). Born on October 25, 1956, Tinley is recognized for his significant contributions to the sport of triathlon, particularly during the 1980s and 1990s. He was part of the "Big Four" in triathlon alongside Mark Allen, Scott Molina, and Dave Scott, and he won the Ironman World Championships twice. Tinley was inducted into the Ironman Hall of Fame in 1996 and the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame in 2012.23
