Sarah Smith

Sarah Smith is a highly accomplished individual with a rich academic background and a diverse range of professional experiences in the fields of Art History, Global Affairs, Cultural Diplomacy, Communication and Media Studies, Contemporary Art, and Public Diplomacy.

Sarah completed her PhD in Art History at Queen's University and has since held various significant positions at reputable organizations and universities, showcasing her expertise and dedication to her areas of interest.

She has served as a Fellow at the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, Co-Founder of the North American Cultural Diplomacy Initiative (NACDI), and held faculty positions at Carleton University and Queen's University, focusing on Global Media and Communication, Cultural Studies, and Communication and Media Studies.

Sarah's impressive career also includes roles such as Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta, Canada-US Fulbright Visiting Research Chair in Public Diplomacy at the University of Southern California, and SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University's Weatherhead Center for International Affairs.

Furthermore, she has contributed significantly to the art world as a Curator of Contemporary Art at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre, showcasing her passion for visual and material culture.
