Jeanne Marell
Design leader | service designer | user researcher | experience strategist
Jeanne Marell is an accomplished innovation leader with nearly 20 years of experience in a range of roles, including in-house, agency, and public sector positions. With particular expertise in research, strategy, and various design aspects, she has worked with some of the world's leading brands in healthcare, consumer electronics, and automotive. Jeanne is passionate about improving people's lives by enabling those with hearing loss to hear more, do more, and be more. As the Director of Front-end Innovation and User Experience at GN Hearing, Jeanne is now responsible for improving their innovation and experience design practice in the team and across the organization.
Jeanne has studied Jewellery Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, and Marketing/Marketing Management. She also gained professional experience from the seven different countries she has lived in and worked for some of the world's most recognizable companies, including BMW, Nokia, and Samsung. She is a former Jewelry designer-maker and visiting lecturer at Srishti School of Art, Design, and Technology.
Jeanne has worked at Coloplast, a medical device manufacturer focusing on products for people with very intimate healthcare needs. Here, she led the development of the company's Design DNA, and her team established a new user research best practice, sharing insights throughout the business and implementing them into future user experiences.
Jeanne's career has led her to various roles, including Lead User Researcher at Government Digital Service, Lead Service Designer at Idean UK, Associate Director, Experience Strategy at Plan Strategic, and Senior Consulting at Experience Strategy at Plan Strategic. She also volunteered in South America and worked as a Creative Designer at General Motors.
