Sarah Halfman

Sarah Halfman is a seasoned international relief and development professional with over 17 years of experience in managing programs and teams in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. With a Master's in Public Health from Tulane University and a Bachelor's from the University of Oregon, Halfman possesses strategic planning skills and is highly proficient in designing and starting up programs, managing donor relationships, and developing partnerships. Halfman has held senior leadership positions in several organizations, including Holt International Children's Services, where she served as the Senior Executive International Programs (CALEE & Asia), and Mercy Corps, where she served in various capacities like Director of Programs, Deputy Country Director, and Senior Program Officer, among others. She also has experience working as a Health Extension Volunteer at the US Peace Corps.

Throughout her career, Halfman has honed her skills in supervising and mentoring multicultural teams, leveraging relationships with stakeholders, and navigating the complexities of working in diverse cultural and political contexts. Additionally, she excels in global, country-level, and regional strategic planning processes through designing and implementing strategies, activities, and budgets.
