Sarah Cook is a dedicated professional with experience and expertise in transportation, urban design, and sustainable urbanism.
With a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture focusing on Urban Design/Landscape Architecture/Planning from the University of Oregon, Sarah also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance and Choreography from Ohio University.
Her passion lies in the effects of public and non-motorized transit on creating inclusive, healthy, and vibrant communities.
Sarah's current research revolves around evaluating urban design components for enhancing the perceived livability at bus and rapid transit stops, aiming to contribute to the development of transit infrastructure that is safe, functional, and enhances overall livability.
She brings a wealth of experience from various roles, including serving as a Long Range Planner at Clarksville Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission, a Senior Planner in Community Planning and Design at Chattanooga Hamilton County Regional Planning Agency, and as a Transportation Designer at Chattanooga Department of Transportation.
Sarah has also contributed as an Urban Design Intern at the City of Eugene and conducted research on Livability and Transportation as a Research Assistant at the University of Oregon, showcasing her diverse skill set and commitment to urban development.
Additionally, her background as an Anthropometric Technician at Anthrotech adds a unique perspective to her approach in urban design and research.
