Sara Zarny is a healthcare professional committed to providing accessible and value-based health care. With a diverse background in both provider and payor roles within private and federal sectors, Sara has extensive experience serving various populations, including Veterans, individuals with LTSS needs, pregnant individuals, and those covered by Medicaid and Medicare plans.
Sara pursued her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Management at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She also holds a Bachelor's degree with a focus on Psychology, History, and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. In addition, she studied Psychology at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS).
Throughout her career, Sara has held significant roles in various organizations, such as serving as the Director of RFP Excellence Office and Director of Strategic Initiatives at UnitedHealthcare. She also gained experience as a Product Development Graduate Intern at Mass General Brigham, a Senior Associate, and Associate at Grant Thornton LLP, a Research Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis, a Practicum Student at Østerbro International School, and a Policy and Planning Intern at Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSAgov), HHS.
