Sara Katz
Union Organizer
Sara Katz is a versatile professional with a background in community engagement, public policy, and research. She has worked for various organizations, such as MOVE Action, WEPOWER, and the MO House of Representatives - Office of Rep. Tommie Pierson Jr. She is also an experienced canvasser, instructor, editorial assistant, and sustainability programming intern.
As a former Data Associate for MOVE Action, Sara has used her analytical skills to support political campaigns and advocacy efforts. During her time at WEPOWER, she coordinated programs and conducted research on issues related to racial equity, energy policy, and entrepreneurship. Prior to this, she interned in the MO House of Representatives and the Voter Access & Engagement, Center for Social Development at the Brown School.
Sara is also passionate about working with children and the environment. She has served as a FoodCorps Service Member and a School Programs Instructor and Children's Garden Fall Instructor at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. She also interned at the Empire State Development and Common Ground Community, where she helped promote sustainable agriculture and energy practices.
In her various roles, Sara has demonstrated her proficiency in research, program coordination, community outreach, and written communication. She has also developed a deep understanding of issues related to social justice, environmental sustainability, and political advocacy.
