Sara Hemmer

Sara Hemmer is an experienced UX designer and people-centered strategist who is passionate about using design and systems-thinking to create seamless experiences that bring people and technology closer together. She has extensive experience in all phases of UX, from discovery research through to iterative prototyping and delivery with SaaS and Agile teams. Sara is an advocate for users and is fluent in both qual and quant research practices. Her expertise also includes Lean UX practices, web accessibility, HFE research methods, and ethnography. She has worked in various industries, including FinTech, Transportation logistics, Healthcare, Sustainability, and Social Innovation. Sara has mentored and led design teams and is well-versed in design systems for component architecture and JavaScript libraries.
Sara attended General Assembly's UX Design Immersive program and holds a BBA from Eastern Kentucky University. She has worked at XPO Logistics, Providence Health & Services, Thomson Reuters, Nike (K-Force), General Assembly, OpenSourcery, Flying High Creative, Women's Initiative Networking Group, Mountain Association for Community Economic Development, MAC Productions AV & Live Event Production, and Baker Communications.
