Teaching Assistant

We provide assistive technologies to help people living with cognitive challenges. 

Care partners of persons living with dementia use the BrightGuide application on a tablet to record the care recipient perform daily living activities. The care recipient can then watch themselves in the videos to overcome issues with memory, speech and movement planning. The app provides a secure and private connection to an online account where the videos are stored in real time. The customized videos can be scheduled to play according to the care recipient's routine. 

Our mission at BrightGuide is to enhance human performance through augmented reality. This entails building networks of sensors that enable a human being to better observe and control their lives and environment. In terms of our core competence, we are an engineering firm dealing with machine learning, internet of things and signal processing. 

I was on this mission along with my cofounder Krysta Traianovski. We have paused our company and carry on the work through volunteering on weekends.

Project leader and managerial position at a software development company. 

• Analyzed and interpreted business needs to create Business Requirements Document and worked with software development team to produce Technical Requirements Document

• Responsible for a team of 12 software developers among three different projects who reported daily progress directly to me. The team worked with me via weekly meetings for setting project development milestones using AGILE project management techniques. 

• Developed architecture for two Android Applications. The two applications were concerned with real time consumer behaviour analysis by analyzing user inputs on mobile device.

• Wrote the business plan for the project and presented it to the steering committee to highlight opportunities that could be realized with respect to University of Iowa's long-term sustainability, educational and business strategy.
