Samanvay Mahata

Samanvay Mahata is a recent graduate from UC Berkeley with a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his time at Cal, he focused on design projects, gaining expertise in Design Thinking methodologies, new product development, and utilizing low fidelity prototypes for rapid user testing. His Capstone Project involved a super maneuverable unmanned underwater submarine, where he controlled the central system using Arduino boards and manufactured the prototype using CNC machining and 3D printing. With a structured thinking approach and effective communication skills, Samanvay has a record of enhancing efficiency, productivity, and profitability through analytical problem-solving techniques. He also holds advanced Lean Six Sigma training and is proficient in CAD modeling, product design, data analysis, and business fundamentals. His integrated skills span project management, product development, and mechanical engineering.

Samanvay Mahata is interested in mechanical design, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, Design Thinking, new product development, solid modeling and FEA, project management, and Six Sigma. He aspires to implement his knowledge and skills to design innovative engineering solutions that create a positive impact on society. Samanvay's educational background includes a CFA Level 2 certification, an MBA from ESCP Business School, an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. He has also interned at Vahdam Teas, Pravega Ventures, Barclays Investment Bank, and worked as a Quality Engineer II at Fresenius Medical Care North America and as an Industrial Trainee at Tata Motors.
