Sam Nejame

Sam Nejame is a business innovation expert with a passion for commercializing world-class technologies and helping companies penetrate new markets. He has a specialized focus on bio-based solutions for pharma, food & bev, pre/probiotics, nutraceuticals, F&F, agriculture, water, polymers, specialty chemicals, and fuels. With a thorough understanding of how technological innovation works, Sam approaches technology commercialization, market development, and entrepreneurship from a position of insight and empathy.

As a registered coach and business innovation expert with the European Commission, Sam has helped people raise money and find partners and technology that transformed their businesses. He is particularly bullish on helping underdogs achieve their goals and finds himself serving as either a laser beam or a sledgehammer, depending on the situation. He is a mentor and instructor to founding teams through NSF's I-Corps program, the Cleantech Open accelerator program, the MassBio/MassConnect accelerator, and Open Innovation frameworks.

Sam Nejame's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. In addition to this, Nejame has a background in Project management, chemical/environmental engineering at Parsons Corporation, and pharma/biotech process development. He once founded a web company with investment from the CFO of Intel.

Sam Nejame is the CEO at Promotum and formerly served as an Instructor for NSF I-Corps at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an Advisor for Radical Plastics. He is also a road and MTB cyclist, with a particular talent for uphill climbs.
