Salvatore Mandrà

Salvatore Mandrà is a highly accomplished individual with expertise in quantum computation and computing, quantum physics, quantum chemistry, statistical physics of disordered systems, complex systems, and computational science.

Salvatore holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from Università degli Studi di Milano and has studied as a Visiting Student at the Center for Theoretical Physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He also obtained a Master's degree in Physics and a Bachelor's degree in Physics, both with honors from Università degli Studi di Milano.

Salvatore Mandrà has held prominent positions such as Senior Research Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center and Task Lead in Quantum Computing at Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT). He has also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at NASA Ames Research Center and Harvard University. His academic experience includes teaching assistant roles at the University of Milan and as an invited speaker at HackDay 2007. Salvatore also completed a stage at Pharmacia & Upjohn in Research and Development.

His research interests span across quantum computation, complexity, quantum algorithms, statistical physics of disordered systems, combinatorial optimization problems, C++ programming, and simulation of quantum devices. Salvatore Mandrà is skilled in high-level programming with a focus on C++ and object-oriented programming.
