Ruta Aidis is a renowned expert in the field of entrepreneurship, particularly women's entrepreneurship. With over 25 years of experience, she has been actively involved in research, teaching, and advising on topics such as gender inequality, entrepreneurship ecosystems, and small-business policy. Dr. Aidis serves as Director of Research and Policy Engagement at the LSE Institute of Global Affairs and is also a Visiting Professor at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden.

She has authored several publications, including "Female Entrepreneurship in Transition Economies," which examines the obstacles and opportunities faced by women entrepreneurs in Central and Eastern European countries, and "Entrepreneurial Ecosystems and Growth-Oriented SMEs," which emphasizes the importance of context in shaping entrepreneurial outcomes.

Dr. Aidis has received numerous awards and recognition for her work on women's entrepreneurship, including being named one of the Top 50 Women in Tech in Europe in 2018 by Forbes. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium and a Master's degree in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
