Dr. Tonia Warnecke is a distinguished economist and the George D. and Harriet W. Cornell Professor of Social Entrepreneurship at Rollins College, USA. With a specialization in international development processes, policy, and social entrepreneurship, she has garnered a reputation as a leading expert in her field. Her extensive research portfolio delves into entrepreneurship, gender issues, and development topics like finance, technology, and sustainability, with a focus on Asia. Dr. Warnecke has authored over 35 research outputs and is recognized for her scholarly contributions worldwide.

In addition to her academic role, Dr. Warnecke has held various prestigious positions including being a Fulbright Visiting Research Chair in International Development Studies at McGill University in 2013.
