Russ Thacher

Russ Thacher is an accomplished engineering leader with a strong technical background in designing electrical and mechanical systems.

He holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Agricultural Engineering, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Currently, Russ serves as the Director of Renewables Engineering at Duke Energy Corporation, where he leads the team in developing innovative solutions for renewable energy projects.

Prior to his current role, he held various positions at Duke Energy Corporation, including Manager, Lead Engineer, and Senior Engineer.

Before joining Duke Energy, Russ gained valuable experience as an Engineering Manager at FLS Energy, International Construction Equipment, and John Deere.

His earlier career also includes roles as a Staff Engineer at John Deere, Senior Engineer at Deere Energy, and Research Engineer at Caterpillar Inc.

Russ Thacher's extensive experience in the energy sector and his diverse engineering background make him a valuable asset in driving successful renewable energy initiatives.
