Ruochen Xu
Researcher at Microsoft
Ruochen Xu is a researcher in the Speech and Dialog Research Group, with a focus on text summarization and task-oriented dialogues. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University in August 2019, with a thesis on learning cross-language and cross-style mappings with limited supervision. Ruochen Xu studied Electrical and Systems Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis for his bachelor's degree, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science, both from Carnegie Mellon University. Additionally, he pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Tsinghua University. Throughout his career, he has been associated with organizations such as Microsoft, where he currently serves as a researcher, and has held positions as a Research Assistant at both Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also completed a summer internship at Microsoft.
