Roy Zaban

Roy Zaban is a smart city and urban mobility specialist with a PhD in urban planning from the Technion. He has a strong background in strategy and business consulting, with a focus on leading strategic initiatives, product development, and project management.

Roy has extensive experience in research across public institutions, private companies, and academia. His work includes developing open innovation strategies for governments and leading smart city projects in Israel and Europe, as well as collaboration with the United Nations.

Roy Zaban is a member of various prestigious organizations such as the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) Urban Mobility Doctoral Training Network and a former member of the CivTech Global Alliance. His academic research concentrates on the impact of digitalization on urban life and mobility in the modern era.

He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Urban Planning from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in PPE (Philosophy, Political Science, Economics) from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Roy's professional experience includes roles such as Strategy Manager at KPMG, Advisory Board Member at GLASS | Government Ecosystems, and Director of GovTech at CREATORS_.
