Ronen Almog, Ph.D., is the Head of Research at Meteo-Logic, a position he has held since October 2022. He is a seasoned data science manager and AI expert with over 20 years of experience in leading multidisciplinary research and development projects across various sectors, including Fintech and Quantitative Finance.
Education and Expertise
Ronen holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Tel Aviv University. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and also obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tel Aviv University. His technical skills encompass machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, and genetic algorithms, among others.

Before joining Meteo-Logic, Ronen held several prominent roles:
- Data Science Group Manager at SKF Group, where he led teams in developing AI/ML models for predictive maintenance.
- Director of Data Science and AI at eToro, where he managed the data science group and contributed to significant income increases through model development.
- Senior Data Scientist and AI Innovation Lead at Bank Hapoalim, focusing on advanced data science initiatives.
Ronen has also worked in various research and development capacities, including as a physicist at Micron Technology and a postdoctoral fellow at Tel Aviv University, where he led projects involving novel biosensor technologies.
