David Low

David Low, Director of Advanced Analytics at Singtel

David Low is currently the Director of Advanced Analytics at Singtel, one of the largest telecommunications companies in Asia.25 In this role, he leads a team of data scientists to drive advanced analytics initiatives and use cases across various business units within Singtel Singapore.2

Prior to Singtel, David co-founded Pand.ai, an AI-powered chatbot startup, where he served as the Chief Data Scientist.2 He has also held positions as the Chief AI Officer at HeyHi and Head of Data Science at CardsPal.2

David has over 14 years of experience in AI and machine learning.2 He represented Singapore and the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the Data Science Game competition in France in 2016, where his team clinched the top spot among Asia and America teams.1

David is an alumnus of NUS, where he received the Outstanding Young Alumni Award in 2021.14 He has also been invited as a guest lecturer at NUS to conduct masterclasses on applied machine learning and deep learning topics.1

In addition to his professional work, David is a PhD scholar at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), focusing his research on deep learning and its applications in multi-modal problems.2 He is a member of the Graph Deep Learning lab at NTU, co-supervised by Associate Professor Xavier Bresson and Dr. Lidong Bing from Alibaba DAMO Academy.2

David has published over 50 journals, conferences, patents, and book publications, which have attracted over 1400 citations with an H-index of 21.3 He is a Fellow and Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and a Senior Member of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES).3
