Ron started his career in the nightlife- and music industry in 1993 as a professional DJ and event planner. He developed high skills in marketing with a focus on young adults and became specialist in branding and promotion of events and products in the nightlife channel. In this field of expertise he advised a lot of club owners, stakeholders and premium beverage brands.
In 2004 Ron decided to buy a small consultancy firm (KTBA) in food safety and created a turning point in his career. From working as a freelancer he now became entrepreneur with a challenge to manage professional consultants and to establish growth. All marketingskills and experience came in handy!
Ron can be described as a creative marketeer and adman with an eye for people, trends, design and marketdemands. KTBA and all it's activities have been very instructive and rewarding to his experience. The period from 2004 until 2019 has been a rollercoaster of experiences in the field of branding, corporate identity, management, coaching, mergers and acquisitions, recruitment, negotiating, legal matters, financing, planning, strategies and all other stuff an ambitious business owner has to deal with.
Ron's personal goal was to become the architect and owner of a large, succesfull and international operating foodmanagement service provider. It's happened! The company grew from 5 employees to about 200 in 2019. With offices in Kaatsheuvel and Antwerp KTBA became market leader in the Benelux in the field of consultancy, product labelling, training and software for food safety management. On 1 July 2019 he successfully sold the KTBA Compliance Group to Mérieux NutriSciences. Nowadays Ron is active as an investor in scale-up companies and real estate.
