Rodrigo Gordillo
Rodrigo Gordillo is the President and Portfolio Manager of ReSolve Asset Management Global*, a Cayman Island-based company. He is a finance expert with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, where he specialized in finance. Gordillo also holds a BCom degree in finance from the University of Trinity College.
Gordillo began his career at John Hancock, a pension management company, before joining i3 Advisors Inc., a Canadian multi-family office that focuses on ultra-high net worth clients. He then worked at Macquarie Private Wealth and Dundee Goodman Private wealth. In 2015, Gordillo co-founded ReSolve Asset Management Inc. and in 2021, he launched ReSolve Asset Management Global*.
Gordillo has co-authored a book titled Adaptive Asset Allocation: Dynamic Global Portfolios to Profit in Good Times – and Bad (Wiley) and written many articles and research papers related to the quantitative global multi-asset allocation space. He has a particular interest in using new insights to enhance the investment process.
Gordillo's formative years exposed him to two significant market events - a hyper-inflationary situation in Peru and a deflationary bust, which shaped his views on finance and the markets. These experiences led him to develop his expertise, which he now applies in his career.
