Rocio Franco

Rocio Franco is a seasoned multimedia journalist with over 25 years of experience, currently leading the Spanish social media team at the United Nations.

With a background in television journalism, Rocio excels in storytelling across various platforms, including video, audio, and photography, specializing in human interest stories.

Before her role at the UN, Rocio was a prominent television presenter and reporter in Paraguay, where she also focused on strategic communications for gender equality.

She holds a Master of Arts in Broadcast Television Journalism from Nottingham Trent University, having been a British Chevening Scholar, and has completed photography and journalism programs at the International Center of Photography.

Rocio's professional journey includes roles as an Information Officer at the United Nations, Multimedia Producer for UN News, and Director of Information Centre at the Ministry for Women's Rights in Paraguay.

Her media experience extends to being a TV News Anchor and Reporter at Telefuturo and Sistema Nacional de Televisión SNT in Paraguay.
