Robert R.G.D.

Robert Smith R.G.D. is a seasoned creative director, author, professor, and founding member of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers. With over three decades of experience, Rob has worked with clients worldwide, including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Warner Brothers. He currently owns Ottawa-based design agency Greenmelon, where he operates as the Chief Creative Officer and runs workshops and training sessions for creative teams through Think-Smith.

Rob is a well-respected figure in the creative industry and is known for his humorous, engaging, and inspiring speaking style. He has presented at multiple design events, including Design Thinkers, and authored two books: The Frankenstein Condition, which examines self-esteem and self-awareness in social media, and Stop Looking for Zebras, which delves into the creative process in business.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Rob has served as a judge for the Juno Awards and was once the Past Chapter President for the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada. He has also taught design and photography at Algonquin College and worked as an Art Director at Shoreline Communications and as a Senior Designer at Aartvark Communications.
